Simon Drakeford’s Sketch ‘Norwood Cottage, later Norwood House‘ includes some of the detail of the brief life of Henry (Harry) Cecil Clarke, who died on 11 February 1917, following a night trench raid against the German forces south east of Armentières aged only 21. The Westmorland Gazette has published an online article on a fascinating development regarding the location of Harry’s grave. The discovery was made by David Tattersfield, from The Western Front Association, during a visit to Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery between Neuve-Chapelle and Armentières. Read the full article
