Queen’s Platinum Jubilee History Trail

This trail was prepared for walking as part of the 2022 Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June 2022. The approximately 6 km circular route starts and ends at the Pheasant Inn. Depending on quickly you walk and read, it will take about two hours.

During the walk, please be respectful of people’s private property. The trail will only be on public roads or footpaths but will include references to private properties. Most of the walk is on the lanes and well-maintained footpaths and bridlepaths. In parts stinging nettles may encroach on the path so long trousers are recommended. One section of the walk is across a field, in wet weather walking shoes would be advisable. Very small parts of the walk are along the busy A683. Please take appropriate care and attention!
