The Community Cupboard supports the physical and mental wellbeing of Kirkby Lonsdale and the surrounding area, including Casterton.

The Community Hub is a central phone line, open Monday to Friday from 10am to 1pm. Requests vary from picking up prescriptions to carrying out shopping to dropping off laundry.

Community Lunches
Hot, nutritious meals are made for our older and/ or vulnerable residents, for a suggested donation of £3.50 for delivered and £5 for an eat in meal with dessert and a hot drink. These are cooked every Monday 12.30pm and served for people to eat at the Lunesdale Hall in Kirkby Lonsdale or delivered to their homes.
Lunches can be booked until the Thursday before through the Community Hub. Call 015242 36404, Monday to Friday 10am to 1pm.

Tuesday Soups
Every Tuesday, we welcome our older community to come join us for a warm bowl of soup (or two!) and a cake. A smaller group than at lunches, we aim to provide a friendly atmosphere that everyone is welcome to join. We run after the Age Friendly Gentle Exercise Classes that also run at the hall on Tuesdays, so feel free to join us after you get your stretches in!
From 12 noon until about 1.30pm in the Bective Room of the Lunesdale Hall in Kirkby Lonsdale.
Coffee, Cake and Chat
The Coffee, Cake and Chat is a friendly environment, bringing older people together, who attend on their own or with their carers/partners. The cafe runs from 10am to 12 noon on the last Friday of every month at Binfold Community Centre. Drop in for the whole two hours or just for a cup of tea/coffee and cake. No booking is required. Just pop in and out whenever you want to join us over the two hours we are there.
