Volunteer Driver Scheme

If you have transport difficulties, the Kirkby Lonsdale Volunteer Driver Scheme also covers Casterton.

The scheme provides a vital transport service in our community. The team of dedicated volunteers will take you to medical appointments in Kirkby Lonsdale or at hospital; to a catch-up meeting with friends or family; provide a lift to the swimming pool or even take you shopping.

The cost is 55p per mile (from the driver’s house back to the driver’s house), payable in cash to the driver.

If you need to book a driver for a one-off trip or for a regular lift, please call Sabine Janowitz on 07788 522511.
