Save The Pheasant update – 8th October 2025

The Pheasant Inn changed hands today and has a new owner who we believe already owns one pub. This was the preferred outcome for most people who completed the “Save The Pheasant” survey we did back in February 2024.

We don’t have too many confirmed details as yet but there are two new chefs (replacing Duncan) who will serve a new menu, and a new front of house manager (replacing Heather). The rest of the staff (James, Michael, Ari and the various others who help morning and evening) are unchanged. The operating hours are staying the same for now. The pub is closed today (8th Oct) for the handover and will re-open at noon tomorrow.

Casterton Community Hub would like to wish Heather and Duncan the best of luck in whatever they do next and welcome the new owners to Casterton. We hope they can make The Pheasant even better!
