Following the previous update many of you contacted the planning officer to reconfirm your objections to the planning application, so many thanks. However, it became clear that a lot of our comments were not being published as they should have been. We are not clear why.

The good (hopefully) news is that some time in June the planning officer—Clare Bland—left the YDNPA planning team and the application is now being handled by a new planning officer: Paul Skelton. CCHL have contacted him to ensure he was aware of everything sent to his predecessor and subsequently everyone’s comments have been published as well as the detailed documents that CCHL sent (redacted as necessary). The planning application was not included on the agenda of the July YDNPA planning committee meeting and the next one is not until early September so we are still in a waiting game. We are hoping that planning will be refused so that the community can move on with trying to purchase it.
