As part of the “Save The Pheasant” campaign, 21 local householders signed up to apply to Westmorland & Furness Council to have The Pheasant listed as an Asset of Community Value. On 5th February 2024 the council confirmed that the application had been accepted and the pub is now listed on the asset register.
