Can you spare some time to help Casterton?
Many ideas have been put forward for things that might improve the look of our village, or in some way make it a better place, such as:
- Identifying invasive species such as knotweed, what can we do about it?
- Checking on footpaths. Do any need attention?
- Is there a need for any new footpaths?
- Looking out for potentially diseased/dangerous roadside trees
- Re-painting a historic milestone
- What about a dark skies project?
- Occasional litter-picks
- New ideas for community events
All these and more have been suggested for the parish council, but whatever happens it needs a few more people to lend a hand.
If you have a little time to spare and would like to help, then why not become a volunteer. If it’s your thing, you may at a later date decide that you would like to join the parish council. In the first instance just drop an email to the parish clerk expressing a willingness to help in however small a way and he’ll take it from there.

It’s not just the boring stuff like potholes and dog fouling!
