Re-surfacing A683 through Casterton
A temporary road closure has been put in place to allow Westmorland and Furness Highways to carry out highway works which were planned to commence on 1st December 2025, but have now been delayed and may begin on 3rd December. These are anticipated to take four nights during the hours of 1830 to 0600 to complete.
Location: A683 Casterton from its junction with Colliers Lane, extending in a north easterly direction to its junction with Greenber Lane.
It has been identified that it will not be safe to maintain access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists throughout the restriction.
N.B Passage for Emergency Vehicles will not be maintained for the duration of this restriction.
