There was a great turnout in the village hall on 7th February for the first quiz night of 2023, which had a Valentine theme. I’m not sure whether love was in the air, but competitive spirit certainly was.
Team Here we go again won, with 43.5 points out of a possible 50. Second was team Team Malbec on 40.5 points, with team Beavertown taking the third spot on 38 points, pipping team In Expectation on 37 points.
A total of seven teams entered. Congratulations to the erudition of teams Team Malbec and Beavertown on getting 10/10 on the film and books round. Finally, just to confirm, Johnny Cash’s wife is not Emmylou Harris nor Tammy Wynette!
