Footpath closure

Westmorland and Furness Council has made a six-month closure order in respect of sections of public footpath nos. 509009 and 509023, nearly opposite the Village Hall in Casterton, as shown on this plan.

This is to ensure public safety due to a damaged culvert.

Some individuals are ignoring the signs and are continuing to walk around the closure signs.

This is dangerous.

All walkers and residents should avoid the damaged area until the repairs are complete.
