The Painting Policeman

David spent his working life in the Police Force, from which he retired in 2006 after 30 years. In the late 90s he happened upon a television programme called the ‘Joy of Painting’. David was mesmerised by this tall bushy-haired, softly spoken man painting a landscape in oils on a canvas using 2” and 1” brushes in 27 minutes. He was fascinated with the technique and so started his love affair with this Wet on Wet technique of painting.

David has attended numerous workshops over the years and painted in his studio, keeping true to the technique. In 2014 he attended and completed an Instructors Course and is now a fully Certified Ross Instructor. Read more
