Join us on Thursday 6th June to commemorate the Normandy Landings of 1944.

A beacon of peace will be lit on Brownthwaite Pike at 9.15pm.

All are welcome to join the village walk, starting from the village hall at 7.30pm. Please join en route or make your own way.

Wear stout footwear for the off road section and suitable clothing for the weather on the night.

Voluntary donations to ‘Help for Heroes’

Those who are unable to get to the beacon lighting are being encouraged to light a ‘lamp of peace’ in their homes or businesses at the time of the beacon lighting.
