Animal Care – a talk by Steph Weber

Animal Care is a small local charity covering Lancaster and Morecambe whose work also often extends through the Lune Valley.

Steph will talk about the range of animals and activities the charity covers and will bring her rescue greyhound, Zeus, with her.

Frequently belying an animal crisis is a human crisis, whether that be a family bereavement, break up or job loss, so not only do they have to ensure the animals are looked after, but also that the whole situation is handled with care and sensitivity as the loss of a well loved pet can be devastating.

Animal Care rehome around 800 animals a year including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and many more. They rely on donations from kind supporters as they receive no funding whatsoever either from the Council or from central Government.
