DESCRIPTION:In a change to the published programme, Casterton WI welcomes members and visitors to:\nAnimal Care – a talk by Steph Weber\n\nAnimal Care ( https://www.animalcare-lancaster.co.uk/ ) is a small local charity covering Lancaster and Morecambe whose work also often extends through the Lune Valley.\nSteph will talk about the range of animals and activities the charity covers and will bring her rescue greyhound, Zeus, with her.\nFrequently belying an animal crisis is a human crisis, whether that be a family bereavement, break up or job loss, so not only do they have to ensure the animals are looked after, but also that the whole situation is handled with care and sensitivity as the loss of a well loved pet can be devastating.\nAnimal Care rehome around 800 animals a year including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and many more.
